authenticity

  • Nobody Can Know

I spent so much of my life believing there were things nobody could know. Somewhere along the way, though, “I have things I need to hide” became “I am someone who needs to be hidden.”

I have worked incredibly hard to become a woman who feels safe being herself. What I am realizing now is that feeling safe with myself and feeling safe enough to be fully known by someone else are two very different things. Maybe healing this next layer is learning that I can be seen without abandoning the person I fought so hard to become.

  • I’m Not Here to Fix You. I’m Here to Hold the Lantern.

Sometimes life doesn’t clear a beautiful path for you before asking you to move forward. Sometimes you’re healing while still dealing with the things that hurt, building while things are falling apart, and making decisions without knowing whether they’re the right ones. Somewhere along the way, I realized I don’t want to be the person standing in front of you with all the answers. I want to be the person who reminds you that even in the dark, you’re still capable of finding your own way.

  • A Letter to Those Who Were Never Meant to Fit In

Authenticity isn’t always easy. Sometimes it comes with criticism, loneliness, or the feeling that you don’t quite belong. This letter is a reminder that your uniqueness was never something to apologize for, it was always something to celebrate.
