Aging, Caregiving & Connection | Companion Conversation Sessions

🌿 The Human Side of Aging

Aging is often talked about in terms of health, memory, and physical change. But underneath all of that, it’s still a deeply human experience.

It can look like long stretches without meaningful conversation, repeating stories that still deserve to be heard, moments of confusion, or simply wanting someone to sit and be present.

Memory changes, including dementia and Alzheimer’s, can bring uncertainty, for both the individual and the people who love them. These moments don’t just require care; they require patience, presence, and understanding.

This space exists for that.

❤️ For Caregivers

If you’re supporting someone you love, you may be carrying more than most people see.

You might be trying to hold everything together, managing appointments, routines, and responsibilities, while also navigating the emotional weight that comes with watching someone change.

There can be moments of exhaustion, frustration, guilt, and grief… sometimes all at once. You may find yourself questioning if you’re doing enough, even when you’re giving everything you have, and in the middle of all of it, there often isn’t much space for you.

Caregiving can be deeply meaningful, but it can also feel overwhelming in ways that are hard to explain to others.

This is a space where you don’t have to hold it all in.

A non-judgmental space where you can talk things through, reflect, vent, or simply sit and cry if that’s what you need, with someone there to sit with you in it.

Caregiving takes its toll in one way or another, and you deserve support too.

You don’t have to carry that alone.

🧠 My Background

For 18 years, I worked in healthcare alongside individuals experiencing aging, memory loss, dementia, and end-of-life care.

It was an honor to care for, support, and truly get to know the people I worked with, as well as their families. Being invited into someone’s life during such meaningful and vulnerable moments is something I never took lightly.

Each person I met taught me something. Their stories, their personalities, their presence, those experiences have stayed with me, and they always will.

While I’m no longer working in healthcare, my desire to serve and support others hasn’t gone away. In many ways, it became clearer over time what mattered most.

Again and again, I saw that connection—being listened to, spoken to with patience, and treated with dignity, often meant more than anything else in the moment.

That’s why I created this service. It allows me to continue offering the part of the work I valued most: showing up, listening, and being present with people in a real and human way.

🤝 Companion Conversation Sessions

Companion Conversation Sessions offer a calm, one-on-one space for connection, conversation, and presence.

These sessions are an extension of my conversation-based support, adapted specifically for individuals experiencing aging, memory changes, and for families who want to ensure their loved one has consistent, meaningful connection.

All sessions are held virtually through Google Meet, allowing individuals to remain in a familiar, comfortable environment without needing to leave home.

What makes these sessions different is the experience I bring into them.

Over the years, I’ve developed the ability to stay calm in moments of confusion, to be patient when conversations repeat or shift, and to meet people exactly where they are, without pressure, correction, or expectation.

I’m comfortable holding conversation in a way that feels natural and supportive, even when communication changes. Whether that looks like talking, listening, redirecting gently, or simply sitting in quiet presence, the focus is always on dignity, respect, and connection.

These sessions are non-medical and non-therapeutic. There is no caregiving, supervision, or treatment involved, just consistent, one-on-one companionship rooted in presence and understanding.

Sessions are typically arranged by family members or caregivers who want their loved one to have reliable, meaningful social interaction.

For those who want ongoing support, monthly options are available to create consistency and routine.

💬 Support for Caregivers

If you are a caregiver who needs space to talk, process, or simply be heard, that support matters too.

This is a space where you don’t have to explain everything or hold yourself together.

A place where you can speak openly, feel understood without judgment, and be met with presence, whether you need to talk things through, reflect, vent, or just sit quietly with someone who understands.

This isn’t about advice or fixing.
It’s about being supported as a person, not just a caregiver.

Caregiver support sessions are offered through my Come As You Are Sessions, which provide this same one-on-one space for conversation and emotional support.

🌱 Closing

Aging can feel isolating, and so can caregiving. But neither experience is meant to be carried alone.

There is still space for connection, understanding, and meaningful moments, exactly as things are.

If this feels like something you or your loved one could benefit from, you’re welcome here.

Pricing & Scheduling

Optional 20-Minute Intro Call (New Clients)

For families who would like to connect first, I offer a free 20-minute Google Meet introduction call.

This call gives us time to:

  • meet one another
  • talk about your loved one’s needs, personality, and comfort level
  • discuss how Companion Conversation Sessions work
  • make sure this feels like a good fit before booking

There is no obligation to move forward. My goal is clarity, comfort, and alignment for everyone involved.

Session Options

One-Time Companion Conversation Session

  • $25 for a 60-minute session
Ideal for families who would like to try a session or book occasionally.

Monthly Companion Conversation Subscription

  • $90 per month
Includes access to up to four 60-minute sessions per month, scheduled one at a time based on availability.

Sessions may be booked weekly, more than once in a week, or spaced out depending on what works best for your family. Sessions are scheduled individually rather than all at once, allowing flexibility as needs and schedules change.

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically and may be paused or canceled at any time.

How Scheduling Works

  • Sessions are held virtually via Google Meet (video or audio-only, depending on comfort).
  • Sessions are scheduled through my online calendar and booked based on current availability.
  • Sessions are not guaranteed on specific days or times, and booking ahead is encouraged when possible.

To support sustainability and presence, sessions include built-in buffer time and are not scheduled back-to-back.

Rescheduling & Missed Sessions

I understand that caregiving and life can be unpredictable, and I aim to be flexible while also respecting reserved time.

  • One reschedule per month is welcome with at least 24 hours’ notice, based on availability.
  • Sessions missed without notice are considered complete and are non-refundable, as the time has been reserved specifically for you.
  • Monthly sessions do not roll over to future months.

If you need to reschedule and don’t see an available time that works, you’re welcome to reach out, and if availability allows, I’m happy to try to work together to find a solution.

Language Note

Sessions are currently offered in English only. While I wish I spoke additional languages, this service may not be the best fit unless your loved one is comfortable communicating in English. The introductory call is a good opportunity to explore this together if you’re unsure.

For Caregivers

If you are a caregiver who needs space to talk, vent, or feel understood yourself, I also offer separate Peer Support Sessions designed specifically for caregivers. These sessions are distinct from Companion Conversation Sessions and are intended to support you.
