Companion Conversation Sessions

During my 18 years working in healthcare, I noticed something that stayed with me long after the shift ended: many older adults weren’t asking for more to be done for them, they were longing for connection, presence, and to be truly heard. More often than not, sitting with someone, listening patiently, and sharing simple conversation brought more comfort than anything I could physically do in the moment.

Companion Conversation Sessions are created to offer that kind of connection, a calm, friendly space for conversation, storytelling, and genuine listening. These sessions are non-medical and non-therapeutic, and focus solely on companionship and human connection. There is no caregiving, supervision, treatment, or decision-making involved.

I am comfortable engaging with individuals experiencing memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer’s, and I approach each session with patience, flexibility, and respect. Conversations are guided by the individual’s comfort and energy in the moment, whether that looks like talking, listening to familiar music, sharing stories, or simply enjoying quiet presence together.

Sessions are arranged and paid for by family members or caregivers who would like their loved one to have consistent, one-on-one social interaction rooted in kindness, dignity, and presence.

I also understand how emotionally demanding caregiving can be. For caregivers who need space to talk, vent, or feel understood themselves, I offer separate Peer Support Sessions designed specifically for caregivers. These sessions are distinct from Companion Conversation Sessions and are meant to support you, not the person you care for.

This work is about presence, for those who need connection, and for those who carry the weight of caring for others.

Pricing & Scheduling

Optional 20-Minute Intro Call (New Clients)

For families who would like to connect first, I offer a free 20-minute Google Meet introduction call.

This call gives us time to:

  • meet one another
  • talk about your loved one’s needs, personality, and comfort level
  • discuss how Companion Conversation Sessions work
  • make sure this feels like a good fit before booking

There is no obligation to move forward. My goal is clarity, comfort, and alignment for everyone involved.

Session Options

One-Time Companion Conversation Session

  • $25 for a 60-minute session
Ideal for families who would like to try a session or book occasionally.

Monthly Companion Conversation Subscription

  • $90 per month
Includes access to up to four 60-minute sessions per month, scheduled one at a time based on availability.

Sessions may be booked weekly, more than once in a week, or spaced out depending on what works best for your family. Sessions are scheduled individually rather than all at once, allowing flexibility as needs and schedules change.

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically and may be paused or canceled at any time.

How Scheduling Works

  • Sessions are held virtually via Google Meet (video or audio-only, depending on comfort).
  • Sessions are scheduled through my online calendar and booked based on current availability.
  • Sessions are not guaranteed on specific days or times, and booking ahead is encouraged when possible.

To support sustainability and presence, sessions include built-in buffer time and are not scheduled back-to-back.

Rescheduling & Missed Sessions

I understand that caregiving and life can be unpredictable, and I aim to be flexible while also respecting reserved time.

  • One reschedule per month is welcome with at least 24 hours’ notice, based on availability.
  • Sessions missed without notice are considered complete and are non-refundable, as the time has been reserved specifically for you.
  • Monthly sessions do not roll over to future months.

If you need to reschedule and don’t see an available time that works, you’re welcome to reach out — and if availability allows, I’m happy to try to work together to find a solution.

Language Note

Sessions are currently offered in English only. While I wish I spoke additional languages, this service may not be the best fit unless your loved one is comfortable communicating in English. The introductory call is a good opportunity to explore this together if you’re unsure.

For Caregivers

If you are a caregiver who needs space to talk, vent, or feel understood yourself, I also offer separate Peer Support Sessions designed specifically for caregivers. These sessions are distinct from Companion Conversation Sessions and are intended to support you.
